The two stranger meets and fall in love, the boy wanted to spend his rest of life with the girl he met. It take us back to memories of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayeng, Maine Pyar Kiya and all.
The first hour of film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein gives an impression of Punit Malhotra is back on familiar background of urban setting and style. However the director does take an about turn in the second -half. The film makes a complete balance of between hilarity, amusement and for sure some engaging moments.

Anupam Chopra describes Gori Tere Pyaar Mein as it is a fun to watch as film stick to one formula. But as it reaches to second half Punit Malhotra, misguided the movie into Gowarikar's mode. Meanwhile the narrative becomes both melodramatic and even more synthetic as Punit tries to inject emotions and  a sense of nobility that hasn't been earned.

Madhureeta Mukherjee describes Gori Tere Pyaar Mein as sweets, breezy film with likeable characters displayed in lavish, glossy and in true karan Johar style. In the second half, the bridge over troubled waters project is a bit stretched and you wish the gaonwallahs would leave the pair to romance instead.
